My name is Ray van Beynen and I am the Presiding member of the Whenuakite School Board of Trustees.

My wife and I are the grandparents and guardian of one of the children at the school. I am a retired Police Officer and do some part time consultancy and and contracting work. We live in Hahei.

I hold a post graduate degree in Terrorism, Safety and Security and am a Board member of the Mercury Bay Business Association and a Committee member of the Hahei Residents and Ratepayers Association.

My main interests outside family are ocean swimming, cycling and out door adventures.
